Sxip Shirey makes grand, dramatic music with minimal instruments, especially featuring the sound of his own breath.
For those of you who like words, take a look at the front page of his website. His music provokes some rich descriptions.
As for me, he made me think of the Mad Hatter, though he doesn't wear a hat.
